Busy...

Ok, so we've had the internet for about a week now, and i've only posted twice since then.

Umm. Honestly? I've not had much motivation for blogging lately. I mean, I wish I did...I just don't. When I have free time- which isn't that often being as I am really busy being a mom by myself now, and i've also started working too- I always find something else to do. Like making cool things for my new room, or organizing things, or hanging out with my roomie. This is the first time i've even opened my computer in two days.

I suppose when life settles more and I get used to managing my time between being a mom and working, and once our house is all the way put together...I will probably be back here as much as I was previously. But until then, don't be surprised if i'm not posting every single day.

PS Porter's birthday party is next Saturday, so i'll be getting that ready this week. Look for pic next week!!

P's birthday :)

We had Porter's mini birthday celebration on the 3rd (his actual birthday) and we will be having his party on the 31st with friends and extended family. 

He ate cake for the first time and loved it :) 

And opened presents which he also loved :)

(don't mind the house, we had literally just started moving that day and there's stuff everywhere. also don't mind me, I also look like a mess, haha)

We FINALLY have the internet! I can't wait to be back here :)

Our house is 80% unpacked as of right now, it's been a slowww process, but we're getting there. Unpacking and reorganizing with two kids is not easy!

So much has happened since we've moved!
Porter spent the first weekend away from me with his dad, the kids are sharing a room, Porter's first birthday happened (which we celebrated as a family on the actual day- his party will be at the end of the month), i'm in the process of decorating my bedroom, and I started training at my new job. I will post more on each of these things as the spare time arises :)

It's been tooooo long!

I have access to the internet for a little bit, so i'm here to update. I don't have too many pics of our place yet because it's still mostly a mountain of boxes, but here's a few of us painting our rooms before stuff was moved in :)

Here are a couple before pics of my room...

And after...I painted three walls grey, and one the tiffany blue color. I also painted the back wall of my walk-in closet the blue color too. I'm considering painting all the trim white...we'll see!

And this is Katie's room...we painted the top an off white color, and the bottom blue. And since these pictures have been taken, we painted a dark brown chair rail in the middle of each wall.

I really miss blogging...i'm even so behind on reading everyone's blogs because I just can't read for very long on my iPhone. I did get 3G for my iPad, but i've used most of that on watching Revenge, haha. I had never seen it until a week ago, and i'm addicted! SO GOOD! So instead of unpacking I watched all 16 episodes of that over the past 5 or 6 days, haha.

Anyways, we've gotten the downstairs living room almost put together (minus a bunch of boxes still left to unpack) and the upstairs living room and dining room are almost put together too (also minus a bunch of boxes still not unpacked). My bedroom is getting there- my closet is still a mountain of clothes, and there's some random stuff strew on the dresser and floor, but like I said, it's getting there! The kids' room is still a mess...Porter's crib is set up, but Lily's bed still needs to be, and a bunch of boxes need to be unpacked in there as well.

But- we love our new place.

Hopefully we'll have the internet sooner than later...but moving is expensive and it's kinda been put on the back burner (not to mention that we most likely have to pay a deposit to even get cable/internet set up because both of our credits aren't amazing) :( 

I don't miss tv, but I freakin' miss the internet A LOT.

We&apos;re {mostly} moved in!

Sorry I've been so absent...moving is a b*^%#!

Katie and Lily (my kinda sister-in-law and my niece, who I'm moving into the new place with) have been living with Jeremy and I for a couple months now. They only had some of their stuff there, and the rest is in storage. So yesterday, we packed up a big Uhaul truck with our things at the house and moved it all to the new place. We will move the stuff from storage early this week hopefully! Our house is a disaster right now, haha, and most of the furniture is coming from storage.

We have also painted our bedrooms, and plan on painting a few other rooms too at some point.

No Internet yet, so just blogging from my phone at this point, but hopefully soon! I have so many things to document here :)

Porter's 1st birthday was yesterday!!!! Of course on moving day, so we didn't do much. Today we had a cake for him (which he LOVED!), made by Lily, and he opened a few presents. I will hopefully be able to post with pictures about that soon. His actual birthday party will take place at the end of the month...I wanted to wait until our house was livable before we had people here for that :)

So all is going well, and I'm really excited to be kinda moved in! Hopefully I'll post pics soon :)

I feel like I was just publishing my last InstaFriday post...

I can't believe how fast this past week has gone! 

We got the keys to our place yesterday! I'm going to go paint my room today and we are moving our stuff in tomorrow. We went there last night to see it empty, to plan where things are going to go, and it made me sooo excited. Yay! Pictures of that to come soon I promise! But moving also means I probably won't have internet access for a bit, so I may be blogging from my iPad...

But anyways, on to InstaFriday...

So, I know as of today Google Friend Connect is no more for non-Blogger bloggers. I do use Blogger, so people can still follow me through that. 

BUT...as of today, I lost over ONE HUNDRED readers who followed me through Google Friend Connect. WTF. I'm pretty sure that all of those people didn't just pick up and leave me (at least I sure hope not!).
