Things I want to make

I want to make all of these things when I have a cute little place :)

 This headboard ROCKS. Lisa, will you show this to mark and ask if he could make it for me?? It's just two by fours and some sort of plastic over it...and christmas lights :) I LOVE IT!

This picture sucks, but it is a tree branch painted white, and fabric letters hanging from hemp. I really want to make this with Porter's name on it.

This rug is TO DIE FOR. I found a tutorial and I plan on starting it when I move. Same color I think too. Except in the tutorial it says it takes over 60 hours, haha. So it's going to be a project done over time. It's made with a latch hook canvas and old tee-shirts (a LOT of them). I think it will be cool to take a picture of the progress every single day and make a cool video of all the pics.

I love the horizontal line that they are all centered from. And I think I will use all different color/kind of frames, maybe.

These are really cute too. You use paint sample strips! FREE! I think I would do a few strands and hang them together. And maybe use different colors? Not too sure. And maybe even different shapes.

I LOVE THIS SOOO MUCH. It's made from christmas lights and paper doilies. I can't WAIT for this to be in my home!

This is a really freakin cute doormat. This will probably be the last thing I'll make...but I really want to someday! It's just 2x2's with holes drilled in them and some sort of rope strung through and knotted in between each board.

Sunshine

Porter spent some time naked in the sun today :) It was sooo nice outside!

He loved it. He absolutely LOVES staring out the window, and then he slept so well.

We pulled the shade down after a while so he wouldn't get burnt, but it was still nice and toasty in the window seat.

Except he peed a lot, haha. Once when he was on his back (it looked like a little fountain), and even though I had the camera pointed at him I was laughing too hard to take a picture, dang it. It would have been an awesome one! Haha.

F'in cute

Spent this afternoon looking at a couple duplexes down in Denver. One got rented by the person before me, lame. The next one I liked, so I applied for it. Cross your fingers that I get it! If I do, I will get to move in later May or early July. If I get it I'll talk more about it. I don't want to jinx it. I'm already SO SICK of looking at places and checking padmapper.com for new listings on Craigslist. It's consuming me. Ahhh.

Speaking of May...my birthday is coming up SO SOON. I can't believe i'm going to be 27. Shoot!

Yeah, I have a pretty cute kid :)

He makes some funnnny faces, and I love his double chin so much.

His eyes are still SO BLUE I hope so much they stay that way!

Huggable Teddy Bears

I received this awesome 15 inch Elmo from Huggable Teddy Bears.

He's SO CUTE :) Really soft and furry!

His huge eyes are sweeeeet.

The company was started by a man named Robert Taylor, who's mom enrolled him in Big Brothers Big Sisters to find him a role model- and a man named Brian Lewis who was enrolled as a big brother at the time. They got paired together, and ended up created this company together to bring smiles to children's faces :)

They have tons and tons of different teddy bears and gift baskets. You can customize your teddy's tee-shirt and even give them accessories!

I'm BAAAAACK :)

I had a nice break, thanks :) 

Life has been crazy and not that great, and I find that when I'm stressed out and not happy I would rather just not blog...because I really had nothing positive to blog about to be honest. 

BUT I kept taking pics, so this post is loaded with them. 

I don't want to get too far into it, but this is what i've been busy doing:

Looking for an apartment. In Denver. I'm moving out. 

Things aren't working out here at home, and it's better for Porter to have two happy parents who are apart rather than two unhappy ones who are together. 

Honestly, it's been a long time coming.

So that's that.

I am actually really excited to have my own place to decorate and make pretty! I haven't decided on a one bedroom or two yet...but probably will end up just going with a one bedroom (if it's big enough for me and Porter) because really, Porter doesn't need his own room at this point. He already sleeps with me every night anyways...

I haven't had that good of luck finding one, it sucks. I don't really want to live in an apartment that doesn't at least have a balcony...I like to be outside, and it will drive me crazy if I can't just go out my door and have my own space outside. I would really love to find a house that's been converted into apartments, but we'll see. Like I said, I haven't had very good luck finding what I'm looking for yet.

I guess I just have to be patient and keep looking...

At least I do have a place to live at the moment, so it's not like i'm under any time constraints or anything, but the sooner the better...

So anyways.

Porter and I took a walk the other day...first walk he's taken :) He kind of slept the whole time, but he seemed happy.

My lame attempt to take a pic with my camera sitting on the trunk of my car and the timer set. I really need a remote I decided.

 

I tried Porter's Bumbo for the first time the other day. SO FREAKING CUTE. Haha. He's not quite amazing at holding his head up, but he's getting pretty dang good at it thus far :) 

(he looks so freaking tiny in it, haha)

So here's a couple pics of that, and some others too.

I love his "I still live with my parents" onesie, cracks a momma up.

And his Woombie...LOVE LOVE LOVES it. He falls asleep so quick in it. GREAT BUY.

PORTERS FIRST EASTER!

We went to my friend Charlotte's house- it was a great fun time :) So happy to have a friend like her in my life (and her awesome family in my life too!)

He wore jeans for the first time, and they made him look like such a BIG boy. He's growing soooo fast!

A whole lotta sleeping, and an Easter book

Not a very exciting day...

We went to Jeremy's brother house and he helped them move some of their furniture to the house they are moving into. Porter and I hung out with Katie and Lily in the kitchen while Katie organized. 

Porter was pretty cranky today. The pictures above are deceiving...it took a lot to get him to actually nap today, haha. 

Tomorrow I am taking him to visit the kids I used to nanny for...I miss them! And it'll be exciting for them to meet the little guy who was in my belly for so long :)
